OUR DEALS
MakeShift Records offers various types of deals so that we may help as many christian musicians as
we can. Each is simple and straightforward with no hidden surprises, as we consider ourselves ministry partners with our clients. Our programs, in order of increasing level of financial commitment on
our part, are as follows:
PWS Recording Studio Discount
All christian bands and artists receive discounted rates in our studio, just for the asking and without any continuing obligation. After visiting the studio web site, click here for more info on the discounted rates.
PWR At Cost Demo, EP or Album: “Tithing Deal”
We donate all of the studio time needed for a one to five song demo or EP or a ten to fifteen song album, the street rates for which are normally $50/hr. You cover the cost of the recording engineer’s
hourly rate (currently $25) and the cost of 1000 CDs (which ranges from $800-1200). You then tithe back to our program a flat 10% of your music-related revenue for a period of time (typically two years for
demos or EPs and three years for albums).
MSR Pro “Artist Partners” Deal
This is a variation of our MSR Pro “Full Production” deal where, for select artists, we invest resources so that approximately 2/3 of the project budget is deferred and paid from future revenue streams of the
artist. Our investment value is subject to payback/recoupment followed by a tithing arrangement based on your music-related revenue for a period of time...more.
PWR Full Record Contract: “Label Deal/Investment Deal”
This is a custom-tailored package that starts with our covering all costs of recording an album or EP. Depending on the deal, funds may also be provided for CD packaging & duplication, artist management,
marketing & promotion, a music video, merch/tour support, etc. Invested funds are subject to payback/recoupment followed by a 10% tithing arrangement based on your music-related revenue for a
period of time (typically three years). Please note: these deals are EXTREMELY rare, and we strictly adhere to certain ”investment criteria”.

MSR Pro “Full Production” Deal
This program is designed for those artists who have the vision and budget to produce a major label quality project, whether for demo and shopping purposes or for self-distribution. This is a turn-key
solution that takes a project from start to finish, including everything from song-writing assistance and arrangement to final mastering and CD replication...more.
MakeShift Records “Label Affiliation” Program On a very selective basis, certain artists can participate in our “label affiliation” program under which
they receive various degrees of promotional support and gain exposure by appearing on our web site as one of our label artists. Consideration takes the form of a flat fee or a tithing percentage that is

A Special Word About Our Investments in Artists and Our Tithing Arrangements
As you can imagine, under the various programs involving an investment of time, resources or money
on our part, we must be highly selective based on your music and what we learn about your ministry. We have developed the tithing program as a biblically based means by which we might share in any
financial success you achieve after becoming ministry partners with us. We are funding significant up-front costs for you and equipping you with a crucial tool for furthering your music ministry objectives.
You then use this tool to help market your music to labels, distributors, venues or consumers, while chipping in to support our program in the process. If you are blessed with huge success, your tithe will
give many more christian artists the same opportunity that you had.
